Offered for sale by the consulting forester is a clear-cut timber harvest on 7.4 acres of high quality, old growth, mature pine timber. This harvest will remove 100% of the merchantable timber in preparation for the facility expansion and site development of TT&E Iron and Metals. Site plans have been approved by the Town of Garner Planning Department and the Board of Alderman. Erosion control will be the responsibility of TT&E, to be approved by and conducted in accordance with Wake County regulations. The timber sale area has been surveyed and staked. A tree protection fence will be installed at the expense of TT&E prior to timber harvesting. Only that timber located within the timber sale area as indicated on the timber sale map dated July 8, 2008 prepared by Rawlings Consulting Forestry is to be part of this timber sale. All trees and timber not located within the sale area as indicated on the map or within the tree protection areas are to remain the property of TT&E Iron and Metals and are not to be harvested, cut or damaged. There is no "Place of Sale". All bids must be in writing and received in the office of Rawlings Consulting Forestry by mail, fax or email no later than 11:00 A.M., August 8, 2008. Phone bids will not be accepted for this sale. Each bid must clearly indicate unit prices by species, product and mill destination. Rawlings Consulting Forestry reserves the right to reject any and all offers and may require on-site inspections of previously harvested areas.
